Founded in 1701, Yale is the fourth oldest college in the United States. As a world-renowned Ivy League institution, Yale has produced five U.S. Presidents, over 500 members of the U.S. Congress, 48 U.S. Cabinet members, and 52 Nobel Laureates. The university comprises Yale College (undergraduate) and 13 graduate and professional schools. Situated in New Haven, Connecticut, it is approximately midway between New York City and Boston, spanning 340 acres and over 260 buildings.
